Meat and other animal products

The Kapha type should rather eat less meat and if they do, it is best to use lean poultry. Low-fat fish is also a good part of his diet. Goat, sheep and vegetable soy milk products are better than cow’s milk products for his diet, milk and cream should only be enjoyed in moderation. The same applies to eggs.

Fruit and vegetables

When it comes to fruit and vegetables, the Kapha guy gets a good punch. In the case of fruit, he should not choose too sweet or too sour varieties. Berries, apples, mangos, persimmons, figs and cherries are good for him. Bananas, pineapples and dates less.

This Ayurveda type can also well integrate dried fruits into its diet. Vegetables are best eaten steamed – broccoli, root vegetables, Brussels sprouts, spinach, paprika, celery and eggplants are among the foods particularly suitable for Kapha people.

Cereals, nuts, spices and oils

The Kapha type is best suited to whole grain cereals when cooking: millet, couscous and barley fit perfectly. Nuts and seeds should be consumed in moderation, preferably sunflower or pumpkin seeds and sesame seeds.

When it comes to spices, the Kapha type is allowed to have a good grip and season his dishes with cinnamon, coriander, cloves, pepper, nutmeg, caraway and anything else he likes. Because that stimulates the metabolism properly and helps it not to gain weight so quickly. He should use oil in small quantities, especially soy, thistle and sunflower oil.
